The new VersiColor multi-color flexible light gets exposure to the harsh Michigan winter elements.
Recently ITC donated three Maia desk lamps to the new Michigan CASA office located in Grand Rapids. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. The advocates are volunteers that have been trained and are appointed by a judge to represent a child in family court. They advocate for the best interests of the child and spend time learning and talking with the child about their situation. Advocates become the voice of the child in court and help to prevent children from being placed back into unhealthy or dangerous situations. There are over 14,000 abused and neglected children not being served in Michigan alone. ITC strongly supports the work CASA is doing and is looking forward to helping with future donations, volunteer efforts, etc.

Happy Veteran’s Day
ITC would like to thank all who have served in the military and their families on this Veteran’s Day.

ITC has been nominated for the Michigan Celebrates Small Business (MCSB) award by Varnum LLP of Grand Rapids, MI. MCSB was founded by six partners to serve as a catalyst for creating an entrepreneurial culture and recognize Michigan small business people and their supporters annually.
ITC is thrilled to be considered by this prestigious group for recognition in 2016.
It was a chilly fall evening, but there was still a large turn out for the 2nd annual Glow In The Park in Douglas, Michigan. ITC donated it’s newest product introduction, the Versicolor RGB flexible lighting. The set-up included a 20′ x 40′ tent wrapped in Versicolor and the color changing was controlled by an app downloaded to the organizer, Erin Wilkinson’s phone. Erin stated that the party was a “smashing success” and that they had “over 600 people through the front entrance in the first 30 minutes”. The ITC team was proud and excited to contribute and participate in this local event and can’t wait to see what the Glow In The Park team comes up with next year. Employees volunteered at the Holland Community Action House monthly food distribution. The purpose of the Community Action House is to “end poverty in our community and help families prosper”. Their mission is to “provide area families and individuals with food, clothing, shelter and the opportunity to build necessary skills to achieve a stable and prosperous life”. Volunteers passed out food, carried groceries and helped to load patron’s cars. It was an enjoyable afternoon for all involved.

In the past year ITC has been analyzing what we can do to reduce our impact on the earth and improve our business. A few of the changes that we have implemented include:
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI – After 30 years of designing and manufacturing lighting for boats and RVs, ITC Inc. is lighting up retail stores, offices, homes, health facilities and cruise ships.
The company’s new LED lighting division called Elio is producing products for Carnival and Princess cruise lines, which are replacing hundreds of thousands of energy-eating incandescent light fixtures with low-watt, high intensity LED lighting fixtures.
“The math for them was simple,” ITC founder and CEO Dick Camarota said. “Replace 35 watt bulbs that require frequent replacement with 9 watt LED lights that use a one-third of the energy and last two-thirds longer, and there is huge savings for every ship in their fleet,” he said, noting electricity at sea is generated from fuel powered generators.
